Childbirth class #3 started with a tour of the labor and delivery floor at the hospital. We were able to see the triage where you go to make sure you are far enough along, the delivery room and the recovery rooms. It was both exciting and nerve racking to see where all the action would be happening! We were able to see a newborn while we were up there, he was precious of course. I forget how tiny they are when they are first born... Afterwards we watched a video about taking care of the baby: swaddling, baths, etc. The rest of class was practicing our breathing techniques and ending with a back massage for the moms to be!
