Anyone who knows Wes and I knows how much we love our dog Lilly. We are so excited for her to have a little brother, and we can't wait to see them grow up together! We've had Lilly for about 8 years now, and we've had some trying times with her: from her separation anxiety to her sickness a few years back with the brain disease. We are so thankful that God has given us so many years with her and that she is now healthy and happy!
We think Lilly will be GREAT with baby boy. She has always been good with our neices and other babies. She tends to get a little "skiddish" once they learn to walk and approach her, but overall, she's been wonderful. We've been playing here and there with a "play doll" baby and all she really does with it is sniff it to death! :) We've also played sound clips of babies crying and screaming and so far she doesn't seem to be bothered by it. Of course it's not the real thing, but we thought it can't hurt to practice!
Enjoy these pictures of our "first" child. Although she's very hairy and has 4 legs and a tail, we still consider her a big part of the family! :)
