First doctor visit!

Today was Chase's first official outing: his first newborn doctor visit! It was fun to pack the diaper bag and get him ready to go (and also Mom and Dad's first challenge to get ourselves ready in the process!). Everything checked out and Dr. G says he is "perfect." We couldn't agree more! I was relieved to hear that at 5 days he's already back up to his birth weight. With breastfeeding you are never really sure how much they are getting (except for counting all of the wet and poopy diapers of course!) so this was a reassuring sign that things are going well.

We feel so blessed that God has given us a healthy baby boy to love!

Waiting on the Doctor

Getting weighed - back up to his birth weight, YAY!Getting checked out by Dr. Gollnick. All the exam rooms are decorated in children's book themes - I love this. This room has "Wild Things" from Where the Wild Things Are - too cute! Chase was awake the whole time and so well behaved :)
